SOME DEEPER STEPS INTO THE SNOWFLAKES IN JULY JOURNEY
It’s very particular to be part of Alex’s creative journey. We - his band - are always very excited and truly looking forward to sharing the upcoming live moment with you, but we also know just how deep it is for Alex to share those songs with others, may it be us or anyone else watching live. There’s a fragile yet powerful dimension to Alex’s personal universe.
We have the privilege to witness the struggles he has to expose himself, as well as his striving motion towards what he calls the “emancipative exposing light”. Let's say there’s no room for fake and easy when the “maestro” joins us to incarnate his songs.
When Alex told us he wanted to play a new song for the next live stream moment, we were all very surprised. He then gave newly-composed lyrics to Miss Isabel, had a lap steel style guitar and a copperphone (a special microphone) installed in his station, added a few more sheets of lyrics on the road case in front of him, and there we went!
He kept adding, changing, and striking all over his lyric sheets for the whole time we were following him musically. At one point, he said: “OK, this will be the soft structure. Just stay on cues, the song will move based on whatever I feel that day.” He saw something we were still trying to figure out...! That’s how he likes to operate! If it’s real, it will be alright! If we want to turn that into a jam performance, he will make sure it’s a disaster...!
VERY IMPORTANT REMINDER
Don’t forget, my friend! For this very last chapter in the "Windows in the Sky" hand-crafted lathe-cut limited-edition vinyl series, we decided to print a total of 125 copies. We usually only have 100, but having an extra 25 will give the opportunity to a few more of you to welcome one of those “Snowflakes in July” vinyls in your collection! J'espère que tu vas bien ! Comme tu le sais, nous avons un week-end qui s'annonce chargé car nous allons avoir la chance merveilleuse de partager un moment très spécial en direct ce dimanche 26 juillet, en partenariat avec la plateforme web emblématique pour les réseaux sociaux, la musique et l'art, j'ai nommé BrooklynVegan !

UNE PLONGÉE DANS LE VOYAGE DE SNOWFLAKES IN JULY
C'est très particulier de faire partie du voyage créatif d'Alex, car tout autant que nous, son groupe, sommes très excités et impatients de partager ce prochain moment en direct avec vous, nous savons aussi à quel point c'est profond pour Alex de partager ces chansons avec d'autres, que ce soit nous ou quiconque regarde. Il y a une dimension fragile et puissante à l'univers personnel d'Alex.
Nous avons le privilège de voir les combats auxquels il fait face en s'exposant autant que ses efforts le menant vers ce qu'il appelle la "lumière d'exposition émancipatrice" ! Disons qu'il n'y a pas de place pour ce qui est feint et facile quand le "maestro" se joint à nous pour incarner ses chansons.
Quand Alex nous a dit qu'il voulait jouer une nouvelle chanson lors du prochain direct, nous étions tous surpris ! Puis il a écrit des paroles et les a données à Miss Isabel, il a ajouté une guitare lap steel et un micro Copperphone à sa place, avec en plus des feuilles de paroles sur un road case de guitare juste devant lui et c'est parti !
Il a continué d'ajouter, de changer et de raturer ses feuilles de paroles pendant tout le temps que nous le suivions musicalement, et à un moment donné il a dit : "Ok, on a la structure, suivez les signes, ça bougera en fonction de ce que je ressens ce jour-là" ! Il avait vu quelque chose que nous essayions encore de saisir ! C'est comme ça qu'il aime opérer ! Si c'est authentique, ça serait parfait ! Si nous voulons transformer ça en une performance musicale, il s'assurera que ce soit un désastre lolol
RAPPEL TRÈS IMPORTANT
N'oublie pas ! Pour ce tout dernier chapitre de la série de vinyles lathe cut en édition limitée de "Windows in the Sky", nous avons décidé de faire 125 exemplaires. Nous n'en faisons que 100 d'habitude, mais en avoir 25 de plus donnera l'opportunité à plus de gens d'avoir un de ces vinyles “Snowflakes in July” dans leur collection ! Et, comme nous aimons le faire, en tant que membre du club, tu vas pouvoir le commander 48 heures avant tout le monde...
