About the slipmat “North Star”:
The slipmat "North Star" features the sky map of Montreal on July 5, 2019, day on which Alex Henry Foster performed live as a solo artist for the first time at the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal. The sky, immortalized in a print, was our way to commemorate what marked a fateful moment for Alex Henry Foster & The Long Shadows, one that allowed everything that came after to take place, like some sort of a North Star on a dark night.

Sur la feutrine "North Star" figure la carte du ciel de Montréal le 5 juillet 2019, soir où Alex Henry Foster s'est produit en concert en tant qu'artiste solo pour la première fois au Festival International de Jazz de Montréal. Le ciel, immortalisé dans une impression, était notre façon de commémorer ce qui a marqué un moment fatidique pour Alex Henry Foster & The Long Shadows, un moment qui a permis à tout ce qui a suivi de se dérouler, comme une sorte d'étoile du Nord par une nuit noire.
