About “The Power of the Heart”
It took me years, streaming into the bleakest turbulences of my own inner voyage, to envision the prospect of making a monument of sincerity such as The Power of the Heart mine. Self-acceptance in an age of make-believes is what allows someone to find themselves, and it’s once emancipated from self-preservative escapism that one can navigate amongst the vestiges of their existence, which in turn leads one to simply be, as an individual and originator. Being liberated from the anguish of being seen for who I am is the reason why I didn’t feel the pressure to mimic Reed’s incarnation of the song nor was I constrained by the burden of having to emulate his intimate intent. If my initial appropriation of the song stood as a homage to Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson’s love and respective creative expression, it would grow beyond its conceptualized embodiment as I began to enfranchise myself through it. It is in that moment that it wasn’t a revision process anymore but the result of a total abandonment designed by my own instinctive drift and surrendering. Noises became sounds, and musical arrangements evolved into some sort of spiritual uplift for me, turning it all into a celebration of what can’t be owned, measured, or defined, a boundless and infinite transformative ascension that can only be experienced once shared and given away. That is for me the true everlasting nature that is the power of the heart.

Liberating in its contemplation.
Compassionate in its acceptance.
Transformative in its incarnation.

À propos de “The Power of the Heart” :
Il m'a fallu des années, à naviguer dans les turbulences les plus sombres de mon propre voyage intérieur, pour envisager la perspective de faire mien un monument de sincérité tel que The Power of the Heart. L'acceptation de soi à l'ère des faux-semblants est ce qui permet à quelqu'un de se retrouver, et c'est une fois émancipé de l'évasion auto-conservatrice que l'on peut naviguer parmi les vestiges de son existence, qui à son tour conduit à être simplement, comme un individu et auteur. Être libre de l'angoisse d'être vu pour qui je suis est la raison pour laquelle je n'ai pas ressenti la pression d’imiter l'incarnation de la chanson par Reed et je n'ai pas non plus été contraint par le fardeau d'avoir à imiter son intention intime. Si mon appropriation initiale de la chanson était un hommage à l'amour et à l'expression créative respective de Lou Reed et Laurie Anderson, elle est allée au-delà de son incarnation conceptualisée alors que je commençais à m'émanciper à travers elle. C'est à ce moment-là qu’elle est devenue plus qu’une simple reprise, mais le résultat d'un abandon total créé par ma propre dérive instinctive et mon lâcher-prise. Les bruits sont devenus des sons et les arrangements musicaux ont évolué en une sorte d'élévation spirituelle pour moi, transformant tout cela en une célébration de ce qui ne peut être possédé, mesuré ou défini, une ascension transformatrice illimitée et infinie qui ne peut être vécue qu'une fois partagée et offerte. C'est pour moi la véritable nature éternelle qui est la puissance du cœur.

Libératrice dans sa contemplation. Compatissante dans son acceptation. Transformatrice dans son incarnation.
